Movie Rating System

http://www.mpaa.org/FlmRat_Ratings.asp

Rated G - General Audiences
This is a film that contains nothing in theme, language, bareness, violence, etc. that would, in the view of the Rating Board, be offensive to parents whose younger children view the film.
________________________________________

Rated PG - Parental Guidance Suggested
This is a film that clearly needs to be examined by parents before they let their children view it. The label PG plainly states parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children, but leaves the parent to make the decision.
________________________________________

Rated PG-13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned
A PG-13 film is one which, in the view of the Rating Board, leaps beyond the boundaries of the PG rating, but does not quite fit within the restricted R category.
________________________________________

Rated R - Restricted
This film definitely contains some adult material. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about this film before they allow their children to view it.
________________________________________

Rated NC-17
This is a film that most parents will consider patently too adult for their youngsters under 17. No children will be admitted at the movie theaters.

Step III.

Provide two movie reviews (using Microsoft Word) for movies you have seen. (20% of overall grade) An example of a movie review is provided below:

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER

I Know What You Did Last Summer is the new action horror flick directed by Jim Gillespie. The film stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze,Jr.

Four close friends have just finished high school. Helen (Gellar) has just won a beauty contest and is going to New York to become an actress. Her boyfriend Barry (Phillippe) is going to Boston to play football. Julie (Hewitt) is going to Boston as well to study law. Julie's boyfriend Ray (Prince Jr.) is off to New York with Helen to become a writer. With the summer coming to an end, and everyone going their own way, they decide to go out and party. The horror starts when they hit someone on the way home. Instead of getting help, or calling the police, they of course hide the body. They decide to never speak of what happened again and they each go their own way.
A year later Julie returns from college to find out that someone knows what they did last summer. It is only a matter of time before they find this tormentor or he finds them.

I Know What You Did Last Summer
will definitely provide you with a scream. The film
lacks humor but makes up for it with a lot of action and suspense. It also sends an important message against drinking and driving. So if anyone out there is looking for a good scare you will not be disappointed with this movie.

Respond to the following issue about video games:

(40% of overall grade) Violence is present in almost all games—(60% of) children over age eight rate (games for people over 17) as their favorites,” says Becca Arnold of the Child-Responsible Media Campaign. All violent games should be banned in the U.S."
